We have explored how poorly managed change takes its toll on mental health and wellness. The effort we put into managing it effectively is therefore essential to significantly shift people’s experience of change.

Once the path for change is defined, we must initially bring people on the journey so they support what’s required, and also build willingness for people to change their habits. So even if the change is small, transitioning a group of people is not – it’s BIG!

How you communicate the change is key to this. It is the informational component that will help your people understand what is changing and why, and how it affects them. Having a communication strategy allows you to deliver timely messages at key milestones to ensure the right people are receiving the right information about what’s important to them.

This change communication template walks you through building a change communication strategy, one that will increase transparency through clear and relevant messaging, and pull together a plan where those leading the change know what’s expected of them to facilitate it effectively.

Having a clear plan like this will reduce ambiguity and uncertainty around the change from the top down, in turn leading to higher levels of wellness through clarity and overall engagement with the change at all levels.
